Your Friends Stopped Playing Already? Use the Diablo 4 Party Finder!

In Sanctuary, the excitement of slaying demons and completing challenging dungeons is best experienced with a group of fellow adventurers. But what to do when your friends take a break or move on to other games? It is for reasons like this one, that Blizzard has introduced the Party Finder.

What is the Party Finder?

The Party Finder is a matchmaking feature that helps players connect with others for specific in-game activities. Accessible via Shift+P on PC or through the Social Menu on consoles, it allows you to either list your own party or join existing ones. You can specify exactly what you are looking for, be it Torment 4 boss runs, quest exploration, material farming, or a full clear of the Dark Citadel. This makes it a useful tool for players at any stage of the game.

How to Use the Party Finder

Here are some important details to get you started:

  • Access it with Shift+P on PC or navigate to the Social Menu on consoles.
  • Create your own group or browse existing ones specific to your preferred activity.
  • Custom Labels: use the available labels to categorize or search your group. The goals of your group needs to be clear. A group can have up to 8 labels. There are even social labels in case you prefered voice or text discussions.
For example, you can pick or search for “Carry Request”, or “First Time” if you are looking for a boost or discovering a new activity.
  • Use Advanced Search Options: Filter groups by activity type, difficulty, or labels to find a perfect match for your playstyle.

The Dark Citadel: A Cooperative Challenge

One activity where the Party Finder is truly useful, is the Dark Citadel: a cooperative endgame dungeon that requires 2 to 4 players. Unlocked via completing the Crater of Lost Souls quest in Kurast City (Vessel of Hatred) on Torment difficulty, this dungeon is a test of teamwork and strategy. With its synchronized mechanics and tough bosses, the Dark Citadel rewards player groups with weekly caches containing valuable loot, cosmetics, and Scrolls of Retempering to reset your gear’s Tempering.

In Torment IV, you can also earn unique costmetics. As a solo player you might find it difficult, but with the Party Finder, you can quickly form a group, already experienced or happy to take things slow. Never played the Dark Citadel before? Many players are happy to guide newcomers, just let them know your experience level upfront. The Diablo 4 community often welcomes those eager to learn!

Why Use the Party Finder?

Here are the main benefits of the group finder:

  • Saves Time: Quickly find players with similar goals, and cut down on wait times.
  • Boosts Efficiency: A coordinated group can clear tough content like the Dark Citadel faster and with better rewards.
  • Builds Connections: Meet new players, make friends, or even find a clan to join for the future.

Keep the Fight Going!

If your usual crew has dropped off, do not let that stop you from enjoying Diablo 4! The Party Finder is a great way to keep the game exciting and fun. Next time you are itching to conquer the Dark Citadel or any other challenge, start up the Party Finder, create your team, and get back into the action. Sanctuary’s demons will not slay themselves!
