The Butcher is much harder to defeat in Patch 1.1, according to player reports.
Many classes got nerfed in the latest content update for Diablo 4. As a result, players that have encountered the Butcher now claim he’s much more difficult to down.
TastyWhaleMeat said they used to be able to easily solo the Butcher in all content they were doing up to 67 NMs, but after the patch, they stand no chance in a 53 NM will all their cooldowns active. The player is a well-optimized level 94 Storm Tornado Druid.
The main problem according to the player is they can only kill Butcher in low NM tiers, which they won’t do because they are too low to be worth farming.
Butcher now nearly unkillable while solo at higher NM ranks

This isn’t just one player, many others joined the fray and commented on their post-patch experience with the Butcher.
Great_Concentrate_45 was able to kill the Butcher in NM 25 before the patch but used a Scroll of Escape in NM 23 after the patch went live.
EtherealEtiquette spent 10 minutes killing Butcher on NM 60 with a well-optimized Posion Shredding Werewolf build.

Let’s hope Malignant Hearts will return some of the nerfed powers back to the players!
