We’re examining the upcoming changes to classes and looking at which builds will be nerfed in the upcoming Season 3 patch for Diablo 4.
Please note the following list only contains a few class changes that will go live with the Season 3 patch. Full patch notes are coming tomorrow.
Builds Nerfed in Season 3
The following builds will be nerfed or bug fixed in Season 3:
- Ball Lightning Sorcerer;
- Twisting Blades Rogue;
- Poison Shredder Druid;
- HotA Barbarian;
- Overpower builds.
Barbarian Changes
- Charge is getting buffed. The power from Charge legendaries and other effects is being moved to the baseline skill.
- Many key passives will be buffed, for example Walking Arsenal.
- They are adjusting shouts so multiple shouts on your bar feel like less of a requirement and more as an option.
Sorcerer Changes
- Sorcerers will have another way of applying Vulnerable via Lighting Spear critical strikes.
- Some Paragon Legendary Notes will be buffed.
- The Meteor build is getting updates and a new Unique.
The new Unique is called Starfall Coronet.
Rogue Changes
- They plan to buff underused skills and skill upgrades.
- Buffs coming to Caltrops and Ranged builds, specifically WIndforce, Skyhunter, and Eaglehorn.
Druid Changes
- Buffs are coming to Prickleskin’s Thorns. The number is increasing by 4x compared to Season 2.
- Rabies is getting updated with a new legendary and a buff to Enhanced Rabies.

Necromancer Changes
- Blood and Iron Golems now attack in a small area, similar to the Bone Golem.
- Friendly players and minions can move through Bone Prison.
- Many Bone Spirit upgrades, including a redesign of the Aspect of Swelling Curse are planned.
