Season 16 will introduce a new permanent system to Diablo 4 called War Plans Tactics. This will be an additional War Plans tree that lets players allocate points and increase the chance for specific activities to appear in War Plans, as well as increase the chance for specific rewards to appear.
Players will earn points from completing War Plans activities, and currently, on the PTR, the maximum number of points that can be allocated is 12. Most nodes have 3 ranks, letting players allocate multiple points per category.
Activity Nodes increase the chance that a specific activity can appear in War Plans by 25%/50%/75%. This includes:
- The Pit
- Undercity
- Nightmare Dungeons
- Escalation Dungeons
- Lair Bosses
- Infernal Hordes
- Helltide
- Greater Helltide
Reward Nodes increase the chance that specific rewards will appear when completing War Plans activities by 50%/100%/150%. The possible rewards are:
- Weapons
- Armor
- Jewelry
- Talisman items
- Salvage materials
- Obducite
- Gems
- Horadric Cube items
- Activity Keys
- Gold
