It’s is Diablo 4’s one year anniversary, and we’re getting quite a few gifts to celebrate! The March of the Goblins event starts later today, June 6th, and brings not only in-game changes, but also gifts from the shop!
Goblins and Shrines Buffed
The biggest part of the event is, of course, the titular Treasure Goblins themselves showing up in greater numbers across the world map. Not only that, they are also doubling up in Nightmare Dungeons, so you’ll get twice the loot if you run across them, and there may even be larger packs to discover! And once you do find them, their drops will be enhanced as well, with better loot waiting (such as the Treasure bag you can see in the screenshot above).
So here’s the rundown of all the key details:
- June 6th -13th.
- Not officially announced, but it’s expected to start at or around 10AM PDT/7 PM CET.
- Better loot from all goblins, including Treasure Bags with high item level gear.
- More goblins in the open world.
- Double goblins in Nightmare Dungeons (with rarer larger packs also appearing).
- Greed Shrines appear more often.
- There is speculation that you could get even better loot if you kill a goblin while under the effects of a Greed Shrine (unconfirmed and based on some very specific wording in the event announcement).

The premium store is also getting in on the anniversary action! We’re all getting some free stuff, with mounts, weapons and more being shared!
