Masterworking has been temporarily disabled in Diablo 4 and here’s why.
With the release of Patch 1.4.1 some players will have Masterworking disabled. A temporary fix for the issue is to run any Pit level or transmute materials while Blizzard works on a hotfix.
Some users will login post 1.4.1 release and notice that Masterworking is disabled. The team is looking at applying hotfix later to address this issue.
A workaround is to run either any Pit level or transmuting materials to unlock Masterworking again. We apologize for this hiccup.
