Looking to farm Reputation for your Uber Tristram runs or to maximize your Splinters’ power in Season 15? Helltide farming can efficiently offer that and more by utilizing the right War Plan nodes and the Pandemonium Rupture strategy.
Pandemonium Ruptures have returned to Helltides from the previous season. These are rifts found in the current active Helltide zone, and when activated will constantly spawn myriads of enemies, making them one of the most effective farming methods.
To make this strategy as efficient as possible, we will be utilizing the Tree of Whispers and Helltide War Plans.
Tree of Whispers
For the Tree of Whispers, we will be using:
- Corrupted Roots: Whisper Caches can sometimes contain Corrupted Roots, and planting them will attract enemies.
- Roots of Power: Enemies drawn by Roots have +1 Monster Power and yield double rewards in Helltides.
- Headrotten Feast: Headrotten Bosses drawn to the Roots have +1 Monster Power and will drop a Whisper Cache.
- Grim Retribution: Completing a Whisper has a chance to trigger an ambush, and slaying these enemies has a chance to reward the contents of a Collection of Chaos Whisper Cache.
- Colossal Foe: Whisper Ambushes sometimes include bosses that drop the contents of a Greater Collection of Chaos Whisper Cache.
- Malignant Invasion: Varshan can appear in ambushes and will drop the contents of an Ancestral Collection of Chaos.
Helltide
For Helltides, we will be using:
- Tainted Shrines: While empowered by a Shrine, slain enemies grant double progress to Threat Level.
- Hated Foe: Maximum Threat enemies gain +1 Monster Power.
- Meat Brothers: Two Butchers will ambush you instead of Hellborne.
- Hellmouth: Hellwyrms unleash extra enemies.
- Writhe and Rot: Hellwyrms will always spew Maggots with +1 Monster Power and sometimes a Pang of Duriel.
- Bursting Brood: Maggots and Pangs of Duriel drop Boss Trophies.
The Farming Strategy
The plan is to find Ruptures in Helltide, preferably 2 or more stacked together, and activate them while also planting the Corrupted Roots to draw in more enemies for even more rewards.
We can also use Splinters to further increase the rewards:
- The Splinter of Lies increases our Gold and Crafting Material drop rates and gives a bonus 25% experience.
- The Splinter of Damnation increases Monster Power by 1 and grants bonus experience for every Elite Pack slain.
This farming method will provide you with tons of Splinters, Keys, and all sorts of loot, as well as reputation for bonus caches, which might contain the Prime Evil Splinters required for Uber Tristram.
