There was a lot of discussion after the notes for patch 1.1.1 were released surrounding enchanting. One of the patch notes talked about fixing an issue where “continuously enchanting an item could result in having the same stat show repeatedly in subsequent re-rolls“. Many players thought that this could mean that the priority/preferred affixes on certain items would no longer happen.
As it turns out, they were right! In case you weren’t aware, certain items had affixes that would always roll as an option when enchanting. Rings would always offer crit chance, gloves crit and/or attack speed, weapons main class stat (str, dex, will or int) etc. However, after the patch it seems that is no longer the case.
This is being seen as both good and bad news. You can no longer easily get crit chance on rings, for example. But also, if you wanted more variety and choice on your items, now all affixes are equally possible.
