It seems we have a new apex predator in Diablo 4. While Infernal Hordes can be quite hard, this particular level of difficulty is perhaps a bit much. Luckily or unluckily, depending on how you look at it, it’s “only” a bug! Let’s see what’s going on.
The Bug
It seems a particularly nasty group of dual axe-wielding cannibals just gained infinite power, as they don’t actually exist. That’s right, you can’t attack them but they sure can hit you, and then some! A single enemy seems to be replicating into many, as only one enemy dot can be seen on the map, but even that one is very much un-killable. Even the werewolves are very confused as to what’s going on. Also, in case you didn’t notice, the above clip is from Hardcore, so that poor Druid is very much dead forever.
This isn’t the first this has happened either, as other players have reported the same bug:
The Solution
It seems all you can really do is die.
However, some players actually had enough health regeneration to be able to tank them, in which case the only solution is to restart the game! If you’re playing on Hardcore, like the Druid player at the start, you’re gonna have to Scroll of Escape it, and if you don’t have it, well, RIP in peace.
So be really careful when Infernal Hording on Hardcore, and as always on that mode, absolutely never leave town without a Scroll of Escape!
