Update: there may be a workaround for the crashing:
Here is a temporary fix for some players while we are work on an update.
- Go to Diablo IV on your launcher.
- Click on the cog wheel next to the ‘Play’ button.
- Click on ‘Game Settings’.
- Add the below command line argument to your Game Settings.
It seems the new patch is causing a bit of trouble, specifically in the Pit! Many players have been reporting an immediate game crash when engaging even the very first monster in the Pit. Blizzard have responded that they are looking into the situation.
We are seeing this hitting quite a few clients so we will look at solutions and possibly a rollback and will update once we have more.
