Softcore Skill Distribution Statistics Used By Top 1,000 Players of Each Class

We’re looking at skill diversity (or lack thereof) in Diablo 4 Softcore based on the data provided by d4armory.io.

Reddit user juliandark sampled a small fraction of the player base (top 1,000 players of each class) to show everyone their skill distribution.

Please note the Top 1,000 only accounts for a TINY FRACTION of the actual player base, but it’s interesting data nonetheless, so let’s have a look at it.

Barbarian Skill Distribution (Top 1,000 Players)

Let’s start with Barbarians!

• The most-used Basic Skill is Lunging Strike used by 92.24% players.
• The most-used Core Skill is Whirlwind (84.15%) followed by Hammer of the Ancients (14.50%).
• Most Barbarians at the top select two defensive abilities — Rallying Cry (99.83%) and Challenging Shout (96.46%).
• The most popular Brawling skill is War Cry taken by 98.99% players.
• The most popular Barbarian ultimate is Wrath of the Berserker taken by 88.36% players.

Druid Skill Distribution (Top 1,000 Players)

Here’s the skill distribution of Druids.

• The most-used Druid Basic Skill is Earth Spike (67.72%) followed by Storm Strike (19.64%).
• The most-popular Core skill is Pulverize (76.52%).
• The most-popular Druid Defensive skills are Earthen Bulwark (89.39%) and Debilitating Roar (70.65%), which means most Druids will take both.
• 20.32% Druids use the Poison Creeper companion.
• The most-popular Wrath skill is Trample picked by 84.65% players.
• When it comes to Druid ultimates, Grizzly Rage is the clear winner with 78.10%.

Necromancer Skill Distribution (Top 1,000 Players)

You will find the skills taken by the Top 1,000 Necromancer players on Softcore below.

• Bone Splinters is the most-popular Basic skill picked by 47.91% followed by Reap (28.27%).
• The most-popular Necromancer Core skill is Bone Spear (67.80%). The second is Blight with 11.26%. Blood Surge is taken by 5.24 of Necromancers.
• Necromancer players prefer to pick the following 2 Macabre skills: Blood Mist(74.87%) and Corpse Explosion (74.35%).
• Decrepify is picked by 25.65% top 1,000 Necromancer players.
• Corpse Tendrils is the most-popular summoning skill taken by 74.87% followed by Bone Spirit (11.52%).
• The most popular Necromancer ultimate is Bone Storm taken by 68.32% of players.

Rogue Skill Distribution (Top 1,000 Players)

Sorcerer Skill Distribution (Top 1,000 Players)

Finally, we’re looking at the Sorcerer. Due to their slow Mana regeneration they mostly pick just 1 Mana spender. The Elemental Attunement Aspect has a chance to reset defensive cooldowns and Sorcerers prefer to pick all 4!

• 27.63% players pick Arc Lash as their Basic skill.
• The most-popular Core skill is Ice Shards with 64.25%.
• Due to slow Mana regeneration and an Aspect that has a chance to reset defensive skill cooldowns (Elemental Attunement), most Sorcerers take all 4 defensive skills: Teleport (99.31%), Frost Nova (98.27%), Ice Armor (96.89%), and Flame Shield (85.15%).
• When it comes to ultimates, Deep Freeze is picked by 29.71%, Unstable Currents by 1=28.15%, and Inferno by 19.69%.
